CM – Dani Ceballos

Ceballos’ current situation is unfortunate, as the athlete has unable to rise through the ranks despite stellar performances. However, this might be the opportunity for him to show what Real Madrid has been overlooking and why he is a viable candidate to challenge the starting midfielders.

This might be his chance for a comeback and to earn a renewal offer, which the club is now deferring. Ceballos will have the perfect opportunity at the right time to convince Ancelotti that he should keep him. Ceballos’ spot in the alternative team will be vital for his future at the club, more than just for the squad as a whole.

DM/AM – Toni Kroos

The second team will undoubtedly get better with Kroos’ presence in Madrid during the tournament in Qatar. His contribution to the squad has always been critical, and Kroos will emerge as a very significant and versatile player to aid this team advance and score crucial points.

He will be in charge of controlling the team’s motions, approach with possession and pressing when needed, and without his guiding light, the squad may fall off with no concrete outcomes.

CM – Sergio Arribas

Due to a lack of first-team players, Ancelotti will have to turn his attention to Castilla and call up the team’s brightest midfield prospect, Sergio Arribas, for the first time. Over the years, the youngster has grown into one of Castilla’s most significant players, and cheers for him can constantly be heard.

For some, his talent is far too matured and polished to be retained in a youth team, and now may be the ideal time to call him up and give him the minutes he wouldn’t have received with the full loaded midfield accessible.
