Real Madrid have not made too many big signings in recent years, instead focusing on bringing in highly rated young players and developing them into stars at the club itself. The best example of this is Vinicius Jr, who developed into a superstar last season, scoring the Champions League-winning goal vs Liverpool. On the other hand, two other such players in Federico Valverde and Rodrygo scored in the recent 3-1 win over Barcelona in the El Clasico.

At the same time though, Real Madrid have been linked with a number of players in recent times, who are already established in the game. In order to sign them, there is no doubt that it would take big transfer fees.

One of the players that Real Madrid are rumoured to be keeping an eye on is Bruno Guimaraes, who has been excellent since joining Newcastle United and has helped them tremendously in their climb up the Premier League table, as they sit at 6th at the moment.

But as reported by Chronicle Live, Bruno’s valuation is only likely to rise if he has a good World Cup in Qatar and Real Madrid would probably have to top the £103 million transfer fee that they paid to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea back in 2019, in order to sign the Newcastle United star.

Would Real Madrid break their transfer record to sign Bruno?

To be very honest, it feels unlikely that Real Madrid would shell out that kind of a figure in order to sign Bruno from Newcastle United.

They already have one of the best midfields on the planet and do not need to make that kind of an investment in a player, unless it is someone like Jude Bellingham.

Let’s see how things go from here on. It is possible that Bruno could have tremendous World Cup and in that case, the picture might change.
