Real Madrid have enjoyed a lot of success with their current squad and continue to do so, but there are a few positions that need to be reinforced. One of them is right-back. Dani Carvajal has been a top player for years but at the end of the day, he is 30. On the other hand, his back up option, Luca Vazquez, is even older and 31 years of age, and Alvaro Odriozola does not seem to have any future at the club.

Thus, it would make sense for Real Madrid to sign another right-back in the near future and it looks like they have set their sights on a Manchester United player.

As reported by the MirrorDiogo Dalot has emerged as a target for Real Madrid. On the other hand, Barcelona are also monitoring his situation.

Real Madrid were linked with Joao Cancelo of Manchester City not too long ago, but it would be very difficult to sign one of Pep Guardiola’s favourite players from the Premier League champions.

Real Madrid are interested in Manchester United defender who has impressed under Erik ten Hag

Dalot has had an up and down career at Manchester United. During the time of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager, he did not get many chances and it felt almost certain that he was set to leave the club.

But since the exit of the Norwegian manager, he has gotten a lot more playing time at the club. First, he broke into the starting XI under the management of Ralf Rangnick, and under Ten Hag, the Portuguese defender has been one of the club’s most consistent performers.

He does not have a long time left on his current deal though and as a result, there is a chance that Real Madrid could potentially make something happen. It could take a transfer fee around £35 million to sign Dalot.
