Borussia Dortmund has been the home of some of the biggest talents in world football over the years. We have seen Erling Haaland tear up the Premier League ever since moving to Manchester City in the summer, but it looks like the club might already have a future top striker in their ranks already. And Real Madrid are interested.

The player in question is Youssoufa Moukoko. His exploits at the youth levels had already made him a big name in football even before he made his senior debut for Borussia Dortmund and while still just 17 years of age, he has already notched up more than 50 appearances for the club.

Moukoko is making an impression this season as well. According to Transfermarkt, he has scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 15 appearances across all competitions in this campaign for Borussia Dortmund, while playing 665 minutes of football.

It goes without saying that that is impressive for a 17-year-old. On top of that, Moukoko’s goals this season have come against Bayern Munich in Der Klassiker, Schalke in the Revierderby and SC Freiburg, who are fourth in the table. Thus, he is a big game player as well.

Real Madrid are interested in Borussia Dortmund striker

Real Madrid are believed to be interested in signing Moukoko from Borussia Dortmund but they are understandably not the only ones.

As reported by Football Insider, Liverpool have set their sights on Moukoko but Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and other Premier League clubs are also monitoring one of Europe’s elite talents.

Real Madrid certainly need to sort out their future up front. Karim Benzema is fresh off of winning the Ballon d’Or but at the end of the day, he is set to turn 35 years of age soon, and has faced his struggles with injuries in recent times.

Sooner or later, Real Madrid will need to replace the Frenchman. Most fans would like for that man to be Haaland but it will be interesting to see how Moukoko develops at Borussia Dortmund as well.
