Real Madrid might have made a brilliant start to the campaign but Carlo Ancelotti will know that nothing is decided yet or even close to being done so. This season is very different to any other as there is a World Cup in the middle of it. Naturally, the big tournament could end up having a huge impact on the clubs as well.

There is the possibility that players could get injured away in Qatar. On the other hand, it will also be interesting to see how they react to heartbreak or triumph at football’s grandest stage, after returning to their clubs not too long afterwards.

Also, with the tournament not too far away, a lot of players might be afraid of picking up injuries while playing for their clubs and missing the World Cup.

Well, it looks like Ancelotti has a simple solution for such players and that is to stay at home. As reported by Marca, the Real Madrid manager said about the issue:

"“Injuries exist in the world of football. If you don’t want to get injured, stay on the sofa.“You can get injured in training, in a collision with a teammate.“For now, everyone wants to train. If someone tells me they’re afraid, then they should stay at home, watching a TV series or a movie, there are plenty of them.”"

It goes without saying that injuries are a part of football and any footballer can end up picking up a problem, every time that they get onto a pitch, whether it be in training or in a match.

Of course, that is why a tournament of this magnitude should be played during the summer, as it gives the players some time to recover from the injuries and niggles picked up throughout the course of the club season.

It is what it is though. Let’s see what a World Cup in the middle of the year looks like and what kind of an impact it ends up having on club football. One can only hope that Real Madrid will be able to carry on with their momentum.
