Real Madrid superstar has already signed new contract
Real Madrid have done a wonderful job when it comes to developing their own superstars in recent years. It is pretty clear that the club have moved away from their Galactico policy, as the transfer market has changed around them. The biggest success story of this new direction is Vinicius Jr.
Real Madrid were believed to have shelled out a transfer fee around €46 million to sign Vinicius from Flamengo, while he was still a teenager.
His early seasons in Spain were not easy though. While it was clear that Vinicius had a lot of natural ability on the ball, he struggled in front of goal and had very little end product. That changed last season though, as the Brazilian transformed into one of Real Madrid’s most reliable sources of goals, capped off by the Champions League winner against Liverpool.
Vinicius has carried on in the same vein of form this season as well and established himself as one of Real Madrid’s most important players. Now, the vital thing for the club was to secure his long-term future and it looks like they have done that.
Real Madrid superstar has already signed new contract despite no official announcement
The Brazilian’s deal was set to run out in the summer of 2024. As reported by AS, Vinicius has already signed his new contract that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2027. In fact, the agreement was already closed and signed in the summer.
Now, the only thing left to do for Real Madrid is to decide when to officially announce the renewal of Vinicius.
Of course, this could very well be a tactical move on the part of Real Madrid and they could be waiting for the right opportunity, when the morale of the fans is down, to make this kind of an announcement and lift the mood.
