Real Madrid star has been told to find a new club in January
Real Madrid shattered their transfer record to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea in the summer of 2019 and back then, it was considered as the right move for Los Blancos. Cristiano Ronaldo had just left the year before and they needed a superstar to be the face of the team. The Belgian was viewed as the perfect man for that role.
During his time at Chelsea, he had shown that he was a world-class player, and his style of play was very eye catching as well. When he arrived at Real Madrid, it was believed that he would finally be competing for the Ballon d’Or.
That was not to be though. One injury after another since moving to Spain has completely derailed Hazard’s career, who seems to be the last-choice winger in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad right now. That is a fall from grace if there has ever been one, and now, it looks like Real Madrid have had enough of trying to make the move work.
As reported by El Debate, Real Madrid have told Hazard that after the World Cup he should look for a team for a loan or even for a transfer.
Real Madrid have told Hazard to look for a new club
Hazard’s current deal with Real Madrid runs till the summer of 2024, which means that he still has some time left on his contract.
Of course, it is hard to think that any club would be willing to match the wages that Real Madrid are currently paying him, after seeing the Belgian struggle to even remain fit for more than three seasons now.
Thus, any Hazard exit will be complicated to pull off and it will be very interesting to see if it happens or not. At the moment, it looks unlikely that a move of that magnitude would happen in the middle of the season.
