Real Madrid’s form has gone from outstanding to shaky. They have won just one of their last four games, while losing a couple and drawing the other one. That is not great to say the least and has seen Barcelona take a five-point lead in the La Liga table, although they have played a game more.

One of the biggest reasons behind Real Madrid’s downturn in form has been their lack of squad depth and subsequently, inability to deal with injuries and fatigue. Despite this, there are some players who have not managed to break into Carlo Ancelotti’s plans.

One such player is Alvaro Odriozola, who has not played a single minute of football this season and it is not hard to see why a move away from the club might be the best step forward for the Spaniard. An European giant seems to have their eyes on him though, despite his lack of action this season.

As reported by CalcioMercato, some contact with Odriozola’s entourage has already been staged, and Juventus thinks seriously about him. The idea would be to set up a negotiation on the basis of a loan with the right of redemption while Real Madrid would like a permanent departure.

Juventus are looking seriously at the prospect of signing the Real Madrid player

At this point of time, leaving Real Madrid might be the best step for Odriozola as well as the club. He simply has not been able to make his mark since arriving at Santiago Bernabeu.

His loan spell at Bayern Munich was not much better either although it looks like his time at Fiorentina was enough to convince Juventus to pursue a move for him.

Now, it remains to be seen if it ends up happening or not. It must also be pointed out that Odriozola’s current deal with Real Madrid runs out in the summer of 2024, so they do not have a lot of time to find him a new club.
