Everybody knows that Real Madrid do not have the deepest squad of players. That has been one of the reasons behind their recent downfall in form, as Los Blancos have struggled to deal with injuries. Despite that, there are some players who have simply failed to break into Carlo Ancelotti’s plans on any consistent basis. One such man is Eden Hazard.

Signed from Chelsea for a club record transfer fee in the summer of 2019, Hazard was expected to become the face of Real Madrid’s team. He has never managed to take up that role though, struggling with injuries throughout his time at the club. That has seen him fall down the pecking order.

This season, he has been fit to feature in most games. But according to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 6 appearances and played 229 minutes of football in total across all competitions.

As reported by El Nacional, Hazard considers that his time at Real Madrid has come to an end and is already looking for a new destination, and as reported in Belgium, he has already confessed to Thibaut Courtois, that he is leaving in the winter.

At this point of time, parting ways might be the best step for both Hazard and Real Madrid. The Belgian is not expected to get regular playing time at Santiago Bernabeu. On the other hand, his exit would save the club huge amounts in wages and get them a transfer fee as well, although it is expected to be a small one.

It is believed that Hazard would like a return to the Premier League, which he is already very familiar with and where he has already established himself as a legend.

A hero’s return to Chelsea will always hold some value. On the other hand, clubs like Newcastle United and Aston Villa have been linked with him in recent times as well. Of course, one cannot completely rule out the idea of him remaining in Madrid, if he does not receive a suitable offer.
