Real Madrid have arguably the most talented midfield on the planet. They have the perfect balance of youth and experience in the middle of the park. Legends like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are perfectly complimented by the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga. And Dani Ceballos has developed into a very decent cover option as well.

Yet, Real Madrid will need to add there in the near future as well. Kroos’ long-term future at the club is in question, and the German could potentially hang up his boots at the end of the current season. On the other hand, Modric is 37 years of age and will need to be replaced sooner or later. Ceballos might be on his way out soon as well.

Real Madrid have the perfect opportunity to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea though. As reported by The Telegraph, the Englishman’s contract talks with the Blues have reached a stalemate. He has 18 months left on his current deal.

If Mount and Chelsea are not able to find a solution soon, Real Madrid should definitely consider making a move for one of the most talented young midfielders in the world.

Real Madrid should consider move for brilliant Chelsea midfielder

It often feels like Mount does not get a lot of the credit that he deserves, from a large section of the Chelsea fanbase.

Yes, he has made a slow start to this campaign, but at the end of the day, Chelsea have been a picture of complete chaos.

Mount is a very good player though. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 13 goals and provided 16 assists last season.

And it is not just his quality on the ball, but off it that is impressive. He is a complete workhorse for the team. There is a reason that Mount has been a nailed on starter for every manager he has played under, whether it be at club level or international.

Real Madrid have seen exactly what he is capable of, with the Chelsea star scoring in both their previous ties in the Champions League. Thus, if Los Blancos have a chance to sign Mount for a cut-price fee or on a free transfer, they should jump at the chance.
