Real Madrid have an incredible squad of players right now. There is a reason that Los Blancos are the defending Spanish and European champions. At the same time though, changes might be coming at Santiago Bernabeu soon, as they seem to be headed for a bit of a transitional phase, as the stars from the super successful 2010s decade slowly move away.

We have already seen the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, Casemiro, Marcelo, Gareth Bale and others, depart Real Madrid. And more could be set to follow. That is just the nature of football, and life, things never stand still.

One player whose future is up in the air at the moment is Toni Kroos. Rumours have suggested that the German midfielder is considering retiring at the end of this season, having already called an end to his international career last year itself.

But Manchester City seem to have plans to try and lure him away to the Premier League, by offering him a mega contract.

As reported by Defensa Central (via SPORT), Manchester City have made a move for Kroos. The Citizens are willing to offer him between €13 million and €14 million a year to convince him to try his luck in the Premier League before hanging up his boots for good.

Kroos has already mentioned in the past how much he enjoyed playing under the management of Pep Guardiola, during their time together at Bayern Munich, and that could be an attractive factor as well for the German star.

Yet, Kroos has maintained in the past that when he decides to retire, it will be in a Real Madrid jersey. His current deal runs till the end of this season, although Los Blancos are believed to be interested in agreeing an extension with the midfield maestro.
