Real Madrid have been linked with a number of players in recent times from Jude Bellingham to Rafael Leao, and from Endrick to Victor Osimhen. Any of those moves would need them to shell out a major transfer fee. One player who could be signed in January in a cut-price deal though is Adrien Rabiot of Juventus.
Rabiot has been in stellar form this season and has arguably been Juventus’ best player, as they slowly return to form and have climbed up to 3rd in the Serie A table when not too long ago, they were languishing in midtable.
This is the best football that Rabiot has played since his move to Juventus, and naturally, that has raised interest in his signature. Especially since his current deal runs out at the end of this season.
As reported by Calciomercatoweb, Juventus will be looking for a transfer fee between €15 million and €20 million for Rabiot. On the other hand, Carlo Ancelotti is believed to have been a fan of his abilities since his days at Paris Saint-Germain.
Could Real Madrid make a move for the Juventus midfielder in January?
Rabiot was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer but nothing materialised, as the Red Devils went on to sign Casemiro instead. Now, could in a surprising transfer merry-go-round, the Frenchman end up at Real Madrid?
It will be interesting to see and it is not hard to understand why Real Madrid might be interested in a potential move, considering the fact that Dani Ceballos is expected to leave the club at the end of the season while there are rumours about Toni Kroos potentially retiring as well.
Thus, they could soon be in urgent need of strengthening the midfield. Would a move for Rabiot in January make sense or should they wait until the summer, in hopes that Juventus don’t end up agreeing a new deal with him?
