World-class manager interested in Real Madrid job

Carlo Ancelotti has done a spectacular job ever since arriving as the manager of Real Madrid. When the appointment had been made, many had felt that he was just going to be a transitional coach before the club settled on a long-term choice. But the Italian boss delivered the Champions League and La Liga double, in his very first season back at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Thus, Ancelotti’s position in the Real Madrid managerial hot seat is secure for now. Some rumours have been doing the rounds though, that the Italian could be considering retirement. He is 63 years of age now and has been coaching since 1992, the same year he retired from playing.

Thus, it has been quite the long career, and it remains to be seen how long Ancelotti wants to continue. He has hinted in the past that this could very well be his last managerial job.

On the other hand, as reported by SPORT BILD (via Madrid Zone), Thomas Tuchel thinks there could be an opening at Real Madrid, Barcelona or Juventus beyond 2023, jobs that he would be interested in.

The German could be a terrific manager for Real Madrid

There is very little doubt that Tuchel is one of the top managers in the game right now and it is incredible that Chelsea actually decided to sack him just days after the summer transfer window closed.

The German delivered the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup at Chelsea, along with back-to-back top 4 finishes and helped them reach five finals over the course of his 18 months at the club. That is a stellar record, when you consider where they were when Tuchel arrived, and where the Blues find themselves now after he has been replaced by Graham Potter.

Someone like Tuchel could be an excellent choice as Real Madrid manager, if Ancelotti does decide to retire in the near future and the German is still available at that point of time.
