Antonio Rudiger joined Real Madrid in the summer on a free transfer, after his contract ran out at Chelsea. He has proven to be an excellent addition to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad as well and has rotated with David Alaba and Eder Militao to fill the two centre-back spots in the team. Not only has the Germany international proven his quality but his spirit as well, with his goal against Shakhtar Donetsk being a prime example.

Real Madrid have a great history when it comes to signing German players. Toni Kroos is also in the current team and is a bona fide legend at the club, having won four Champions League titles during his time with Los Blancos.

Real Madrid will surely have their eyes on the German national team in the World Cup as well, as they have always produced some of the best talents in the game.

As reported by GOAL, when asked about which German national teammate had the potential to follow him to Real Madrid, Rudiger told ZDF:

"“Jamal Musiala! What he’s already showing at Bayern, for me he’s an outstanding player and a very, very good boy. Very down to earth at 19 despite so much hype around him. He has everything to hopefully play here one day.”"

Musiala came through the youth ranks at Chelsea and he is the one that got away for the Blues, having joined Bayern Munich at the age of 16.

Musiala might still be just 19 years of age but he has been a feature for both Bayern Munich and the Germany national team for quite some time now, and there is no doubt that he has the potential to go on to become one of the best players in the world in the future.

Musiala is already at one of the biggest clubs in the world in Bayern Munich and it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid come calling for him in the future or not.
