Real Madrid are interested in €80m Premier League star

Real Madrid have not splashed out in recent years, like they used to do in the past. In fact, the club have taken a very measured approach to their transfer business. It is clearly not the old ‘Galactico’-style approach that Los Blancos are known for. That has not stopped them from being successful though and their eye for talent must be commended.

Rumours have continued to link Real Madrid with some of the biggest talents in the game though, and it remains to be seen if the club do end up making any big moves in the future or not.

Jude Bellingham, Endrick and Rafael Leao are some of the players who are rumoured to be on Real Madrid’s radar in recent times and it looks like another higher-profile name has now been added to that already impressive list.

As reported by El Nacional, Real Madrid have the name of Declan Rice on their radar. The West Ham United midfielder is valued at around €80 million.

Rice has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League for quite a few years now and is even captaining West Ham United at just 23 years of age.

He has been linked with a move away from the Hammers for some time already, but an exit has never materialised as the London club wanted to hold onto their top performer.

Rice’s current deal with West Ham United runs out in the summer of 2024, although there is believed to be an option of a further year.

Even then, one would think that the club would be ready to listen to offers for their star midfielder next summer. Real Madrid are expected to face some tough competition if they try to sign Rice though, as clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have been linked with the Englishman in the past.
