Real Madrid have done a wonderful job when it comes to identifying the best young talent from Brazil, signing them as teenagers and developing them into first-team stars at the club. Two prime examples of this strategy working are Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.

With how well those two moves have worked out, there is no reason for Real Madrid to stop trying to repeat the trick. And the latest Brazilian wonderkid that they have been linked with is Endrick.

Endrick made a big name for himself at the youth level and has gone on to take his first steps at the senior level for Palmeiras since then. Real Madrid are not the only top European club being linked with the 16-year-old though.

Recent rumours have suggested that the likes of Chelsea and PSG have taken a lead in the race to Endrick. But it looks like Real Madrid are still very much in the race as well. As reported by Caught Offside, Fabrizio Romano said in the Daily Briefing:

"“There’s still no agreement between Palmeiras and any other club, or on the player’s side.“It’s still open and it’s the player who will decide, so more than bids to Palmeiras, it’s about convincing the player.“The race remains the same: Chelsea, Real Madrid, PSG. All the clubs are still in the race, 100%.”"

Fabrizio gives update on Endrick to Real Madrid transfer situation

Endrick is still just 16 years of age but it is expected to take a significant transfer fee to sign him from Palmeiras.

It is believed that there is a €60 million release clause in Endrick’s current deal with the Brazilian club and it would not be a major surprise if some club is ready to meet that.

Endrick will not be able to move to Europe before he is 18 years of age and so, he is still going to spend some more time at Palmeiras.

For a player considered to be the biggest talent to come out of Brazilian football since Neymar and who has already drawn comparisons with Ronaldo Nazario, it is not hard to understand why there is so much interest in Endrick already.
