Jude Bellingham showed in his World Cup debut against Iran, why he is so highly rated and wanted by some of the top clubs across Europe like Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea. The Borussia Dortmund is already looking like one of the best midfielders on the planet and he is just 19 years of age.
It is believed that Borussia Dortmund would be open to letting him leave next summer if the right offer arrived at their table and they will surely be looking for a transfer fee upwards of €100 million in order to part ways with Bellingham.
It is going to be a tight race for sure. While Real Madrid and Liverpool have been the most heavily linked with him, it still looks like pretty much an open race to sign him.
And as tweeted out by Ben Jacobs, Erling Haaland has already told Bellingham to join Manchester City.
Haaland hands Bellingham blow to Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and others
Haaland and Bellingham had played together at Borussia Dortmund, and had clearly struck a friendship there.
Thus, the presence of Haaland at Manchester City, and the incredible success that the Norwegian has enjoyed since joining the club, could prove to be an attractive proposition for Bellingham.
Of course, Pep Guardiola’s side are one of the best teams on the planet, who played beautiful attacking football and on top of that, Bellingham would have the chance to return to England as well.
Thus, it is not hard to see why there are several factors which could steer Bellingham towards a move to Manchester City. At the same time though, it would be a mistake to count out the aura associated with playing for Real Madrid.
The bigger issue for Real Madrid might be matching the transfer fee that the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea could potentially be willing to shell out for Bellingham’s signature.
