Jude Bellingham showed football fans exactly why he is being linked with every top club in Europe with his debut performance in the World Cup, as England managed to defeat Iran by a 6-2 scoreline. The midfielder got his name on the scoresheet just for good measure, as clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, and others continue to chase his signature.
Bellingham is just 19 years of age, but is already one of the best midfielders in the world. His attacking output has been stellar this season and he is very good when it comes to the other side of the game as well.
It is almost unbelievable that he is just 19 and if he can continue to perform like this, it would be no surprise to see him in the Ballon d’Or podium one day.
Real Madrid are believed to be very interested in signing Bellingham. At the same time though, it is not going to be easy. They face tough competition from the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City. On top of that, Borussia Dortmund are expected to look for a transfer fee upwards of €100 million and potentially even rising up to €150 million for the Englishman. Naturally, it makes sense for Los Blancos to have back up options.
Real Madrid have four back-up options to Bellingham
As reported by SPORT, Real Madrid also have eyes on Youri Tielemans, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Enzo Fernandez and Lovro Majer.
Tielemans and Sergej have already proven their quality at a top level, at Leicester City and Lazio respectively.
Fernandez and Majer are still rising in the game and have quite a bit to prove yet. They are both very highly rated though. The Argentine plays for Benfica in the Portuguese league while the Croatian plays for Rennes in France.
Of course, the primary target for Real Madrid has to be Bellingham, who looks like an absolute once-in-a-generation talent.
