Real Madrid have been linked with a lot of high profile names in recent weeks and months, with the transfer window approaching. Los Blancos are not expected to strengthen significantly over January, but next summer could prove to be a big one for the European champions. Let’s see how things turn out.

Real Madrid are believed to be competing with Liverpool over the signature of Jude Bellingham. But one of the Reds’ current stars appears to have dreams of joining Los Blancos in the future himself.

Luis Diaz joined Liverpool just in January, from FC Porto, and has already made a very positive impression at Anfield. But it looks like he has one eye on a potential move to the Santiago Bernabeu in the future.

As reported by Defensa Central (via HITC), Diaz is dreaming of a move to Real Madrid at some point in his career and following in the footsteps of James Rodriguez.

Diaz plays on the left wing for Liverpool as well as the Colombian national team. And there is no question that he has a lot of quality that could make him a solid addition for several clubs around the world.

It is hard to see where he would fit into the current Real Madrid set up though, where Vinicius Jr is already a nailed on starter on the left wing.

Also, with Diaz’s contract with Liverpool running till the summer of 2027, it would take a huge transfer fee to sign him away from Anfield. So, it does not seem like a move that will take place any time in the near future.

At the same time though, Diaz is just 25 years of age and it would be wrong to rule out a future move completely.
