Real Madrid handed Endrick transfer boost by Barcelona
Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are believed to be after the signature of Brazilian wonderkid, Endrick. The 16-year-old has taken his first steps in the game at Palmeiras recently but they have been very positive ones. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 3 goals and provided an assist in 7 appearances and 306 minutes of football.
Those are impressive stats for someone who is just 16 and it is not hard to see why some of the biggest clubs in Europe are after his signature. Other than Real Madrid and Barcelona, the likes of PSG and Chelsea are also believed to be pushing to sign Endrick.
Barcelona manager, Xavi, even admitted recently that he had held talks with both Endrick and his father, regarding the project at Camp Nou.
But as reported by Marca, Barcelona are not very optimistic about their chances of signing him. Xavi was instrumental in recent signings but is not seen as enough in this case.
Real Madrid’s chances of signing Endrick handed boost by Barcelona
It will be very interesting to see how things go from here for Endrick. He does have a €60 million release clause in his current deal with Palmeiras and it would not come as a major surprise if a club does decide to trigger that.
While Barcelona have been linked with Endrick for a while, the three clubs leading the race to sign the Brazilian wonderkid have always believed to have been Real Madrid, PSG and Chelsea. Now, let’s see which of the three, if indeed any, end up winning the race.
Real Madrid will hopefully have an advantage due to their recent record of developing Brazilian wonderkids into first-team stars at the club. Two prime examples are Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo, both of whom had arrived as teenagers in Spain, and have since gone on to become superstars.
