The right-hand side of Real Madrid’s squad might need some reinforcements in the near future. Dani Carvajal is the starting right-back but the Spaniard is 30 years of age now. On the other hand, his back-up option, Lucas Vazquez, is even older at 31. The club do have a youngster in Alvaro Odriozola but he has not played a single minute of football this season and is expected to leave soon.
Further up the pitch, Federico Valverde has been converted into a winger and the Uruguayan has been in stunning form this season. His long-term future is expected to lie in the middle of the park though.
One player who Real Madrid should keep an eye on is Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen. The Dutchman youngster has been included in the Netherlands’ World Cup squad this time around, although he was left on the bench as an unused substitute in both their games till now, against Senegal and Ecuador.
He has been in incredible form at Bayer Leverkusen though. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Frimpong has scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists in 21 appearances this season. That has led to him being linked with clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and several others.

Frimpong is capable of playing as a right-back, a right wing-back and even a right winger, if the situation calls for it. Of course, that kind of versatility is a great quality to have for any player.
Frimpong came through the youth ranks at Manchester City, before joining Celtic as a teenager. It is there that he got his big breakthrough in the senior game.
From there, he has moved on to Bayer Leverkusen and his game has grown by leaps and bounds throughout the years. At 21 years of age, he is expected to get even better moving forward.
Frimpong is believed to be rated at around €30 million by Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid should definitely consider a move for him. He could prove to be a long-term solution in a position where their squad could do with some youth, especially with Odriozola expected to leave soon.
