Real Madrid could very well be in the search of a striker next summer. Mariano Diaz is expected to be on his way out after his contract comes to an end, while the club do need someone to compete with Karim Benzema. The Frenchman is set to turn 35 years of age and has been struggling badly with injuries in recent times. Thus, it is not a surprise that there are concerns about how he will perform moving forward despite lifting the Ballon d’Or not too long ago.

Harry Kane is one of the elite strikers in world football today and often does not get the credit that he deserves, because he still has not won a trophy with Tottenham Hotspur.

Kane was linked with a move away from the club not too long ago and could actually be on his way out next summer, when there will just be one more year left on his contract.

Rumours have suggested that Real Madrid do have an eye on the English captain’s situation. But they are not the only European giants in the race to sign him.

Real Madrid have suffered Kane transfer blow

As tweeted out by Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich are working on a move for Kane in the background, even though there is some scepticism. The transfer fee could be in the range of €80 million to €100 million. The English captain will take a decision about his future after the World Cup.

Currently, Kane is leading England in the World Cup and they have successfully made it to the last 16 of the competition. It remains to be seen how far they can go in the tournament.

Signing someone like Kane could be a major coup for Real Madrid. He is still just 29 years of age and very much in the middle of his prime. Thus, they would be getting one of the best on the planet. Of course, it is not going to be straightforward.
