Real Madrid have been linked with a long list of players in recent times and while any major moves seem very unlikely in January, things could be different next summer. As a result, fans should be prepared for Los Blancos to bring in some major names before the start of next season, and they do seem to have their eyes on some of the most highly rated youngsters on the planet.

One player whose name has been doing the rounds of the Real Madrid rumour mill more and more, as he continues to impress at the World Cup in Enzo Fernandez.

It was just in the summer that he joined Benfica from River Plate, and impressed immensely for the Portuguese side. And now, he seems to have played his way into the Argentine starting XI at the World Cup, after initially being used as a substitute. And it looks like Real Madrid are ready to go big for him.

As reported by CM, Real Madrid would be willing to advance with an offer of €70 million plus the transfer of Brazilian Reinier, for Fernandez.

It looks like Real Madrid have increased their interest in Fernandez, with the race to sign Jude Bellingham looking increasingly difficult with competition from clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

On top of that, it is believed that Borussia Dortmund could look for a transfer fee close to €150 million in order to part ways with Bellingham.

As a result, while a move for Fernandez would be expensive as well, it is not expected to go that high and he is rumoured to be viewed as an alternative to Bellingham by Real Madrid. Benfica are not expected to let him go in January but could be much more open to the idea of an exit next summer.
