Real Madrid are believed to have their eyes on the World Cup, looking for potential signings, and one man that they seem to have been impressed by is Josko Gvardiol of the Croatian national team. They have managed to make it to the last 8 of the competition and the defender has been an absolute rock at the back for them.
Real Madrid have had chances to see him from touching distance as well, as they faced RB Leipzig in the Champions League group stage this season. And while defending is his bread and butter, Gvardiol did manage to get on the scoresheet against Carlo Ancelotti’s side as well.
What is even more impressive is the fact that Gvardiol is still just 20 years of age and thus, he could go on to be one of the best defenders on the planet for more than a decade to come.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with him but Los Blancos seem to have big plans as well. As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Real Madrid has a €90 million offer ready for RB Leipzig. The Bundesliga giants are believed to be looking for €100 million.

Real Madrid have been very careful when it comes to their transfer business in recent years. Thus, for them to make a transfer bid of that magnitude, they would really have to be convinced by Gvardiol’s talent.
To be honest, Gvardiol has looked absolutely magnificent at this World Cup. The Croatian national team have conceded just two goals in four games on their way to the quarter-finals. Their big test will come up against Brazil though, who have looked tremendous as well.
As for Gvardiol, he looks destined for a big move in the near future, whether it be to Real Madrid, Chelsea or some other elite European club.
