Real Madrid have been linked with a number of players over the past few months and weeks, as it feels like the foundations are already being laid for the upcoming summer transfer window. At the moment, it does feel like Los Blancos have two big targets – Endrick and Jude Bellingham. While a move for the Brazilian forward seems to be getting close, the same cannot be said about the English midfielder though.
Bellingham is currently away at the World Cup, representing the England national team, and he has been one of the standout performers at the tournament. It is hard to believe he is just 19 years of age.
Real Madrid are not the only club that Bellingham has been linked with though. The likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool are also believed to be very interested. And it looks like it is at Anfield where his future could lie.
As tweeted out by Christian Falk, Liverpool are favourites to sign Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund next summer. Talks are more advanced than with Real Madrid and his family prefers the transfer to Anfield.
Liverpool are favourites to sign Real Madrid transfer target
Liverpool do need a midfielder at this point of time and there are very few players better than Bellingham to fill that void in the team.
On the other hand, Real Madrid arguably have the most complete midfield in the world, but with the long-term futures of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in doubt, signing someone with the ability of Bellingham would be a major coup.
Of course, the summer transfer window is still a long time away and a lot of things could change by then. But at this point of time, it does look like it is the Reds who are leading the race to sign Bellingham.
