Real Madrid superstar makes brilliant Carlo Ancelotti claim
It was not too long ago that there were huge question marks over Vinicius Jr and many believed that Real Madrid had made a mistake shelling out a massive transfer fee to sign him. There was never any doubt about the Brazilian youngster’s potential but his effectiveness in front of goal was severely lacking.
All of that changed last season though as Vini went from being one of the most inconsistent finishers in the team to one of the most reliable sources of goals, even scoring the Champions League-winning goal vs Liverpool as the cherry on top of his season.
A lot of the credit for his incredible transformation should go to Carlo Ancelotti, under whose management Vini has truly flourished and developed into one of the best players in the world.
It is good to see that the Brazilian forward recognises that. As reported by ESPN, he said about Ancelotti:
"“I talked with Ancelotti and he gave me a lot of advice to help me become a starter with Brazil. He gave me a lot of confidence.“He was always was tough with me when he needed to be. He is like a father to me.”"
Real Madrid superstar makes brilliant claim about Ancelotti
Vini has impressed at the World Cup for certain and found the back of the net as well as assisted in the game against South Korea. And there is a good chance that he could return to Madrid with a World Cup winners’ medal in his suitcase, considering how well Brazil have been playing.
It is safe to say that Ancelotti has proven himself as one of the best managers of all-time with his second stint at Real Madrid.
One has to remember that when the appointment was made, many considered the Italian to be a transitional coach before the club went on to make a long-term appointment in the future.
Ancelotti has proven to be much more than that though, helping Los Blancos to a Champions League and La Liga double last season against all odds and expectations. Along the way, he has also developed the future of Real Madrid by improving players like Vini, Rodrygo, Federico Valverde and others.
