Real Madrid seem to be preparing for some big moves in the near future. Already, they seem to be on the verge of agreeing a deal to bring Endrick to the Spanish capital from Palmeiras in the summer of 2024, when he turns 18 years of age. And the Brazilian wonderkid does not appear to be the only mercurial talent that Los Blancos have their eyes on.

Another of their rumoured transfer targets is playing much closer to home, at Athletic Bilbao. The player is none other than Nico Williams.

Williams has been very impressive in recent times, playing regular football for Athletic Bilbao and he appeared in all four of the Spanish national team’s games at the World Cup as well, as they were eliminated by Morocco.

As reported by Defensa Central (via SPORT), Real Madrid is closely following his situation at Athletic Bilbao and could even make a move in this upcoming winter market. The club is ready to make an offer for the player this January.

Still just 20 years of age, Williams has already been able to make quite an impression in his appearances for Athletic Bilbao. He has also played quite a few times for the Spanish national team as well and it is safe to say that the future looks bright for the youngster.

Of course, Real Madrid are not the only club believed to be interested in the 20-year-old winger. The likes of Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked with him recently as well.

He is believed to have a €50 million release clause in his current deal with Athletic Bilbao and if he continues to impress then a Premier League club triggering it would not come as a surprise to anyone.

Thus, if Real Madrid want to sign Williams, they might need to move quickly, although it is hard to see them matching that figure.
