It is safe to say that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have a bit of a rivalry on and off the pitch at the moment. They were are always two of the strongest teams in the Champions League and did come across each other last season, with Los Blancos coming out on top. The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga is well documented as well, while both were believed to be in the race to sign Endrick but the Brazilian wonderkid seems destined to move to Santiago Bernabeu in 2024.

Also, there was the whole matter of the European Super League as well, with Real Madrid and PSG on opposite ends of the spectrum. Los Blancos were completely for the idea, while the French giants did not involve themselves in the matter.

In the future, there could potentially turn out to be another transfer saga between the two clubs, surrounding Achraf Hakimi.

As reported Relevo, it is believed that Hakimi would be delighted to return to Real Madrid one day. Of course, it won’t be easy, with PSG not keen to let him leave and him having a contract till the summer of 2026 with the French champions.

PSG star wants to play for Real Madrid again one day

It is remarkable that Real Madrid let someone like Hakimi slip through their fingers. He was part of the club’s youth system for over a decade.

Real Madrid ended up letting him leave though, first on loan to Borussia Dortmund, and then on a permanent basis to Inter Milan. Since then, he has ended up moving to PSG and at all three clubs, he has proven himself to be one of the best right-backs in the world.

On the other hand, right-back is a position where Real Madrid could do with some reinforcements, with Dani Carvajal 30 years of age now and his form on the decline, while his cover option, Lucas Vazquez, is even older.

Could a return to Real Madrid be on the cards for Hakimi in the future? Who knows? He is still just 24 years of age and has plenty of time on his hands to make it happen.
