Real Madrid won the race to sign Endrick from Palmeiras, ahead of clubs like PSG and Chelsea. Of course, it is going to be an expensive operation as it is believed that the total package to sign the 16-year-old could rise up to €72 million including add-ons and bonuses. On top of that, he will only be joining the club in the summer of 2024 when he is 18.

Thus, it goes without saying that there is an element of risk involved in the move as well and Real Madrid fans cannot be blamed if they are questioning that huge figure that the club have decided to shell out to sign the youngster.

In Brazil, there do not seem to be any fears about the wonderkid though, who has already earned comparisons to Ronaldo Nazario and is considered as the biggest talent to come out of the nation since Neymar Jr.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, former Brazil international Craque Neto has even predicted that he will be better than Romario and Ronaldo, as he said:

"“It’s a pity that we are not going to see Endrick much here in Brazil. This guy is going to fly. He’s going to be better than Romario and Ronaldo!”"

Real Madrid is predicted to be better than Romario and Ronaldo

Endrick is just taking his first steps in the senior game and according to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 3 goals and provided a solitary assist in his 7 appearances for Palmeiras while playing 306 minutes of football in total.

That is impressive for a player who is still just 16 years of age, to be doing that in the senior game and it is not hard to understand why he is so highly rated in his homeland and why Real Madrid decided to shell out such a transfer fee to sign him.

All things considered, it is pretty clear that Endrick is destined for big things. How big? Only time shall tell. If he even gets close to the level of Romario or Ronaldo, Real Madrid have pulled off a bargain transfer.
