Real Madrid shelled out big money to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from AS Monaco in the summer but he seems to be worth every last penny and more. He has come in and seamlessly established himself as a nailed on starter in Carlo Ancelotti’s side. He has not let the team feel the absence of a legend like Casemiro either, with the Brazilian leaving for Manchester United in the summer.
Now, he is doing the job for the French national team too. He has been a starter for Didier Deschamps’ side this entire World Cup, in the absence of Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante. And considering that they are now in the final, it is safe to say that the Real Madrid star has done a great job.
Tchouameni has showed his qualities on both ends of the pitch and might be an undroppable for France already. There are some worries surrounding him ahead of the World Cup final though.
As reported by RMC Sport, Tchouameni was absent from France’s collective training session due to a hip contusion.
Real Madrid star missed training ahead of World Cup final
One would hope that Tchouameni’s issue is not too serious and that he is fit enough to take part in the big game on Sunday.
As for Real Madrid, it is quite clear that they pulled off a transfer masterstroke in the summer by signing Tchouameni. Some eyebrows were raised back then about the transfer fee, but the Frenchman has been successful in justifying it in merely months.
Considering how well Tchouameni is playing, he could be a regular in the Real Madrid midfield for the next decade or so. Now it is only about him continuing to develop his game and remaining injury-free over the course of his career. Otherwise, there are no question marks over his quality anymore.
