Real Madrid’s squad underwent a lot of changes in the summer, as the club said goodbye to a number of their long-term players. Of course, the departures of Gareth Bale and Marcelo might have grabbed the headlines, while the exit of Casemiro shocked the fans, but amongst them, Isco also brought an end to his near decade-long stay at Santiago Bernabeu.

During that period of time at Real Madrid, Isco made over 350 appearances for Real Madrid and won every trophy imaginable, most multiple times over.

He had not been a regular in the first-team picture in the recent past for Real Madrid, but still just 30 years of age, one would think that Isco would have plenty of football left in the tank. Yet, just months after joining Sevilla, it looks like the Spaniard could be in search of a new club once again in the near future.

As reported by GOAL, Sevilla are in talks to part ways with Isco. His contract, which was due to run until 2024, will be terminated immediately.

It is safe to say that the change in managers at Sevilla in the middle of the campaign has not helped Isco, as the club replaced Julen Lopetegui with Jorge Sampaoli.

Isco does not seem to be a big part of Sampaoli’s plans and as a result, parting ways might be the best step forward for both parties involved in the matter.

In the past, Isco used to be linked with a potential move to some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League but these days, one would think that there would not be as much interest in his signature. Despite that, with his experience and the fact that he is still just 30, the Real Madrid hero should not have a tough time finding a new club if his contract with Sevilla is indeed terminated.
