It is pretty much an open secret that Real Madrid are interested in signing Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund next summer. It is not hard to understand why that might be the case either. The English midfielder is a generational talent and someone that can be a mainstay in Los Blancos’ midfield for the next decade-and-a-half, if the club were able to sign him.
It is hard to believe that Bellingham is still just 19 years of age. He has been one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga for a while, performed in the Champions League, captained a legendary club like Borussia Dortmund and starred at the World Cup for the England national team, and might very well have been the Three Lions’ best player at the tournament.
All of this combined and it is only natural that Borussia Dortmund would want a astronomical transfer fee in order to part ways with the midfielder. The likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool have also been linked with him, and so, there are no lack of suitors for Bellingham.
But as reported by MARCA, the English press suggests that Bellingham has decided to give priority to Real Madrid.
Bellingham’s decision gives boost to Real Madrid
It is safe to say that signing Bellingham would be considered as a major boost for any club in the world at this point of time. The Englishman is arguably the most in demand talent on the planet.
At the same time, it is believed that it could take a transfer fee as high as €150 million to sign him from Borussia Dortmund. Thus, it will not be easy to pull off a deal by any stretch of the imagination.
Real Madrid are believed to have alternative targets as well, in the form of Enzo Fernandez and Manuel Locatelli.
