Rafael Nadal is one of the greatest tennis players in history. But on top of that, he is one of the most famous Real Madrid fans on the planet as well, and many have even tipped him to be the president of the club one day. Let’s see what the future holds, but for now, it looks like the Spaniard would like to see Los Blancos sign Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe was believed to be destined to join Real Madrid in the past summer transfer window when his contract with PSG ran out. All signs pointed in that direction and the Frenchman had even gotten cheered by the fans at Santiago Bernabeu, when the two teams met in the Champions League last season.

Ultimately, things would take an unexpected twist, as Mbappe ended up signing a contract extension with PSG instead and remained in the French capital.

Naturally, it left a bitter taste in the mouths of a lot of Real Madrid fans, who did not want the club to linked with Mbappe ever again. And yet, his glorious performances at the World Cup has seemed to change the opinion of a lot of people.

Nadal wants Real Madrid to sign Mbappe in the future

As reported by GOAL, Nadal told AS:

"“I don’t have to forgive Mbappe for anything, in sports these things happen. He wanted to come to Real Madrid but he was under a lot of pressure and everything was complicated for him. I hope to see him at Madrid in the future.”"

The tennis legend further went on to add:

"“As a Real Madrid fan, I would sign Mbappe tomorrow.”"

Let’s see what the future holds for Mbappe. Recent rumours have suggested that he is already looking to leave PSG, despite having signed an extension with them just earlier this year.

At the same time, the relationship between the two clubs right now is not believed to be great and as a result, signing Mbappe could be especially difficult for Real Madrid. On the other hand, if the Frenchman was to leave, there would be no lack of suitors. Yet, stranger things have happened in football.
