Jude Bellingham is expected to be the blockbuster signing of the next summer transfer window. It is unclear where he will be headed though. Real Madrid and Liverpool are the two clubs who appear to be the frontrunners in the race to sign the Borussia Dortmund superstar. But Manchester City are not believed to be far behind either.

Manchester City have dominated English football in recent years but they have not managed to get past the UEFA Champions League hurdle in Europe. As a result, the Citizens continue their pursuit to get better. In the summer, they signed Erling Haaland and now, it looks like they have their eyes on his former teammate.

Recent rumours have suggested that Real Madrid are confident of their chances of winning the race to sign Bellingham. But it looks like Manchester City seem to believe that they have a trump card up their sleeve.

As reported by The Sun, Manchester City believe that Bellingham will snub a transfer to Real Madrid or Liverpool, in order to work with Pep Guardiola.

There is very little doubt that Guardiola is one of the best managers in the world. At the same time though, it will be very interesting to see if that is enough to tip the balance in favour of Manchester City when it comes to their chances of signing Bellingham.

At the same time, one cannot ignore that there are other reasons why Bellingham could prefer Manchester City. On one hand, he is almost guaranteed to challenge for every title. On the other, he has seen how successful the move has been for Haaland.

Let’s see how things turn out but Real Madrid must push in the race to sign Bellingham. He is a generational talent, who could be a starter for Los Blancos for the next decade-and-a-half, if they were able to sign him.
