There are quite a few players who could be on their way out of Real Madrid in the near future. Unfortunately, the name of club veteran, Nacho Fernandez, is on that list. His current deal runs out next summer. The Spaniard has struggled for game time since the arrival of Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer in the summer.
Real Madrid are believed to be keen on handing him a one-year extension but Nacho is believed to be assessing his situation and has not put pen to paper yet. If he does not feature more regularly in the second half of the season then it is very possible that he could head out of Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the campaign, when he is a free agent.
If Nacho did leave Real Madrid, there would not be a lack of interest in his signature though, considering his ability as well as his experience.
As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma or Julen Lopetegui’s Wolves, could be Nacho’s most realistic options.

Nacho has spent his entire career playing for Real Madrid. He came through the club’s youth academy and has never even gone out on loan. Thus, him leaving would also end his ‘One Club Man’ status.
But then, Nacho is 32 years of age and he might not be open to the idea of spending the last few years of his career on the bench. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 11 appearances and played just 414 minutes of football this season till now.
This might also be his last chance to try a different experience and get a move abroad. So let’s see what the future holds for the Real Madrid veteran. Whether he stays on at the Santiago Bernabeu or embarks on a new adventure.
