Grading every Real Madrid player’s World Cup campaign
Here, we take a look at how the twelve Real Madrid players performed at the World Cup for their respective national teams:
Spain National Team
Daniel Carvajal: 7/10
Marco Asensio : 7/10
The Spanish national team featured Asensio and Carvajal from Real Madrid. The right-back played two out of the four games, and his performance was decent but not spectacular, and the rest given will enable him to contribute with his sustained displays in the future. He also avoided any injuries.
Whereas Asensio played all four fixtures and the winger’s ability was proven noteworthy. With one goal in this World Cup and trust from the national team coach, he seems to have regained his form and confidence after a lack of games for Real Madrid.
The individual and collective effort by the Real Madrid players was good even though the Spanish national team could not make a deep run into competition. Also, the players are in shape to train and play with the club.
