Real Madrid have been linked with some of the most highly young talents on the planet in recent times, as it looks like the club will be focusing on youth in the upcoming summer transfer window. Names like Jude Bellingham, Enzo Fernandez, Josko Gvardiol, Cody Gakpo and several others have been doing the rounds of the transfer rumour mill.

Of course, those kind of players are going to come at a premium transfer fee as well. None of the names mentioned above is expected to be available for a transfer fee below €80 million.

As a result, Real Madrid must keep their eyes on alternative targets as well. And one AS Monaco star should be on their radar.

The player is none other than Benoit Badiashile, who could be a solid alternative to someone like Gvardiol for Real Madrid. RB Leipzig are expected to look for a transfer fee north of €100 million for the Croatian international, and that might not be feasible for Los Blancos, when Bellingham is believed to be their top transfer target next summer.

AS Monaco star could be a brilliant Gvardiol alternative for Real Madrid

Real Madrid will know better than most what kind of talent they can bring in from AS Monaco, having already signed Aurelien Tchouameni in the summer, and the midfielder has proven to be an absolute superstar in the Royal White jersey till now.

Badiashile has been one of AS Monaco’s most highly rated players for a long time as well and he has all the attributes that one could ask for in a defender. He is also just 21 years of age now.

On top of everything else, it is also believed that he could be available for a transfer fee around €35 million, with his current deal with AS Monaco running out in the summer of 2024. Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for the defender over the last few days.

Badiashile has a very high ceiling and can be a future superstar. The only concern surrounding the Frenchman are some of the injury issues that he has faced in recent times.
