Kylian Mbappe enjoyed a stunning World Cup campaign, winning the Golden Boot thanks to his 8 goals in the tournament and the French national team also reached the final, only falling short to Argentina on penalties, after playing out one of the most entertaining games of football in history. And it has all led to the PSG superstar being linked with a potential move to Real Madrid once again.

Of course, the Mbappe to Real Madrid rumours have existed for years and the feeling was that the Frenchman was destined to end up at Santiago Bernabeu in the summer when his contract ran out. But in a stunning twist of events, he ended up extending his contract with the French giants and remained there.

Naturally, the transfer saga left a bitter taste in the mouths of Real Madrid fans and most of them did not want the club to be even linked with Mbappe anymore.

Yet, his World Cup displays seem to have changed the minds of many supporters, who once again seem open to the idea of seeing the Frenchman in the Royal White jersey. That might not be what the club are planning though.

Real Madrid have clear stance on Mbappe transfer

As reported by MARCA, Real Madrid follows its roadmap and that does not go through reopening the door of the entity to the possible arrival of Mbappe. The club’s leaders want to get away from the noise.

There is no doubt that Mbappe is one of the best players on the planet and seems pretty much destined to win the Ballon d’Or someday, unless something unexpected happens.

He would be considered as a major coup for any club on the planet right now. But considering how the transfer saga involving Real Madrid and Mbappe has transpired in the past, and how Vinicius Jr has developed in recent years, and Los Blancos might not really need the Frenchman anymore.
