Kylian Mbappe’s name remains in the headlines 365 days a year. And less than a year after signing a contract extension with PSG, his future in the French capital is once again up in the air. Of course, Real Madrid continue to be linked with a move for the superstar, but it does not look like Los Blancos are actually interested in a move this time around.
Mbappe was expected to join Real Madrid in the summer when his contract with PSG ran out. So much so that he got applauded by the Los Blancos fans, when the two teams met each other in the Champions League last season.
Yet, in a stunning turn of events, Mbappe went on to sign a bumper new deal with PSG and stayed in the French capital. And while he might potentially be available once again in the future, it looks like Real Madrid might no longer be interested in chasing his signature.
As reported by MARCA, there has been no contact between Mbappe’s representatives and Real Madrid since he renewed his contract with PSG. And the main issue that the Frenchman faces right now is that he will not find any allies at Santiago Bernabeu in the event that he tries to find a way out of the French capital.
Real Madrid are not contemplating the idea of signing Mbappe
So, while rumours might continue to swirl around a potential move for Mbappe, it looks like Real Madrid are leaning away from that direction after how things turned out in the summer.
If Mbappe was to indeed leave PSG, there should not be a lack of interest in his signature, even though he might need to reduce his wages in order to fit into the structure of other clubs.
Let’s see what the future holds for Mbappe. It does seem that his performances at the World Cup have changed the minds of a lot of Real Madrid fans but not that of the club, after the events of the recent transfer saga.
