A lot of positive noises have been coming out of the media in the last few days and now, it looks like Real Madrid are the firm favourites to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. Of course, the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City are still in the race, while Chelsea seem to have turned their attention towards Enzo Fernandez of Benfica.

Of course, it will be an expensive operation, no matter who ends up signing Bellingham at the end of the day.

Some rumours have suggested that Borussia Dortmund could look for a figure close to €150 million in order to part ways with their star midfielder.

But as reported by Relevo, Real Madrid estimates that it will have to pay a figure around €130 million in order to sign Bellingham.

Of course, €130 million is a huge transfer fee and would make Bellingham one of the most expensive signings in the history of football.

But considering the fact that he is still just 19 years of age, is one of the best players in the Bundesliga, is proven at the Champions League level, has already captained Borussia Dortmund, was arguably England’s best player at the World Cup and the current state of the transfer market, and that does seem like a fair transfer price.

One could argue that Bellingham is already one of the best midfielders on the planet and he has the potential to be a regular starter for Real Madrid for the next decade-and-a-half to come, if the club are able to sign him.

Chelsea seem to be willing to shell out a similar figure in order to sign Fernandez, who is much less proven and does not have as high a ceiling as Bellingham. Thus, if Real Madrid can get a deal done for the Englishman at around €130 million, it has to considered a good deal.
