Real Madrid do not have a lot of squad depth at this point of time, yet there are still a number of players, who are not making much of an impact on this team. On top of that, there are others whose contracts are set to run out in the summer. Thus, it should not come as a major surprise if a few end up departing Santiago Bernabeu this January.

On the other hand, the club are not expected to make any additions to the squad in January. So, it will be very interesting to see how things will play out this month.

As reported by AS, Real Madrid are open to winter offers for Alvaro Odriozola, Dani Ceballos, Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard and Mariano Diaz. They have options to continue, but if a good offer comes in, it will be talked about.

Of course, some of them leaving will have very little impact on the team, while a few others still have a role in Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Odriozola has not played a single minute of football this season and it is not hard to understand why the club would be open to his exit as soon as possible. AS Roma and Juventus have been linked with the Spaniard in recent times.

On the other hand, Ceballos actually impressed in the recent game against Real Valladolid and he feels like one of the players who can still contribute to the team even if he is not a starter. Asensio is another such player, who remains in Ancelotti’s plans. Both of their contracts run out next summer though.

Hazard has been a major disappointment since he joined Real Madrid in a club record deal in the summer of 2019 and his Santiago Bernabeu career is expected to be over sooner or later.

Finally, Mariano is another player who has played very little football this season but interestingly he is the only forward at the club right now other than Karim Benzema.
