Real Madrid’s transfer strategy appears to revolve around signing the best young talents available in order to stay ahead of their rivals in the present as well as the future. The club have already gotten a deal done for Endrick of Palmeiras. They seem to have Jude Bellingham as their priority for next summer, while being linked with the likes of Josko Gvardiol, Alphonso Davies and several others.
One youngster whose reputation is on the rise at the moment is Real Valladolid’s 18-year-old full-back, Ivan Fresneda.
Real Madrid got a close look at him recently, as Fresneda featured in the recent game between the two sides, with Los Blancos getting a 2-0 victory on the day even though Real Valladolid held on well past the 80th minute and could have actually won if not for the heroics of Thibaut Courtois in goal.
As reported by Calciomercato, Juventus has more and more rivals in the race for Fresneda, with Real Madrid now being linked with the youngster in the Spanish press.
Real Madrid linked with move for Juventus transfer target
Juventus and Real Madrid are not the only two clubs being linked with Fresneda either, as the teenager seems to have caught the eye of several teams around Europe.
It remains to be seen how things turn out in the race to sign him but it is not hard to see why he could be a solid addition to this current Real Madrid squad.
Right-back is an area where Real Madrid could do with some youth. Dani Carvajal is the starter there but he is 30 years of age, while Lucas Vazquez is 31. On the other hand, it was only recently in the game against Cacereno, that Alvaro Odriozola played the first minutes of his season and he clearly is not featured prominently in the manager’s plans right now.
