Real Madrid’s priority target for the upcoming summer transfer window is believed to be Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund. The Englishman has been one of the best players in the Bundesliga for a while now, while also proving himself at the Champions League level. He is a leader, having captained the Black Yellow at the age of just 19. And on top of everything else, he was arguably England’s best player at the recent World Cup.

Thus, it is very easy to understand why some of the biggest clubs in the world are interested in Bellingham.

It is not just Real Madrid. The likes of Liverpool and Manchester City are expected to make a push to Bellingham next summer as well. And naturally, a variety of rumours are swirling around regarding the future of the English midfield maestro.

One thing that is clear though is that it will take a massive transfer fee to sign Bellingham away from Borussia Dortmund. As reported by Sky Sport, Florian Plettenberg said:

"“It remains the case, Dortmund want to have 150 million euros for Jude Bellingham in the summer.”"

Borussia Dortmund want massive transfer fee in order to part ways with Real Madrid target Bellingham

Thus, it is safe to say that Real Madrid would have to shatter their club transfer record and then some in order to sign Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund next summer.

The thing is, the Englishman might very well be worth it. It is hard to remember the last time a 19-year-old midfielder came around, who had all the tools, like Bellingham does. He might very well be amongst the best midfielders in the world already, which is remarkable.

And there is no doubt that he is expected to get even better, as he gains more experience. So, any club that ends up signing Bellingham in the summer would have pulled off a major coup. Real Madrid fans will be hoping to see him in a Royal White jersey. Let’s see what the future holds though, as the race is not going to be easy to sign him.
