Real Madrid could definitely do with some more options at right-back. We saw Eder Militao take up the position against Villarreal, with both Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Odriozola struggling with fitness issues while Lucas Vazquez had played against Cacereno just days ago. Los Blancos appeared to struggle at the back on the day, and lost by a 2-1 scoreline against the Yellow Submarine.

Right-back is a position where Real Madrid might need to bring in reinforcements soon. Carvajal is 30 years of age and questions have been raised about his performances in recent times. On the other hand, Vazquez is even older. And Odriozola does not seem to be a big part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans, as he played the first minutes of his season against Cacereno and ended up picking up an injury.

Someone who could have been perfect in this situation for Real Madrid is Achraf Hakimi. But unfortunately, the club let him leave years back and he has thrived elsewhere.

But now, as reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Hakimi is the subject of interest from Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are interested in PSG star but there is a major problem

There is no doubt that someone like Hakimi could be a great fit at Real Madrid. He has proven himself at both club and international level, and was arguably the best right-back at the recent World Cup as Morocco made history and reached the semi-finals.

The issue with any move would be the fact that Real Madrid and PSG are rumoured not to enjoy a good relationship at this point of time.

That could end up blocking any chances of Hakimi returning to Santiago Bernabeu in the near future, with him having a long-term contract with PSG, having joined the French giants just a couple of summers ago.
