Real Madrid are believed to have made Jude Bellingham their priority for the next summer transfer window. It is easy to see why, considering the Englishman is perhaps the most in-demand talent in all of football right now. Naturally, the European champions are not the only club being linked with the Borussia Dortmund midfielder. The likes of Liverpool and Manchester City are believed to be in the running to sign him as well.

Bellingham ticks all the boxes that one could look for in a midfielder. It is clear that the youngster has all the physical attributes to go to the very top. He is one of the best players in the Bundesliga. He is a leader as well, having captained Borussia Dortmund at 19 years of age. And he was most probably England’s standout performer at the World Cup.

It is hard to find that combination in a player, especially in someone who is still just 19 years of age and expected to get even better.

There have been suggestions that Real Madrid are the favourites to sign Bellingham next summer, but it looks like the club are keen not to let things drag on.

Real Madrid set Bellingham transfer deadline

As reported by Defensa Central (via GOAL), Real Madrid have informed Bellingham and his entourage, that he must tell them if he is joining the club within the first three months of the year otherwise they will pull out of the deal.

Of course, Real Madrid must not be keen to be involved in any long-running saga, having been involved in one for Mbappe last season, which did not end too well for Los Blancos as he went on to agree a contract extension with PSG.

Let’s see how things turn out in the race to sign Bellingham. Real Madrid appear to be his most likely destination, but there is a long way to go before the summer transfer window and a lot of things can happen between now and then.
