Real Madrid are not expected to make any additions to their squad in the January transfer window, despite their recent struggles with form and injury. But players leaving Santiago Bernabeu this month cannot be ruled out. And could one of their biggest struggling stars possibly head for Arsenal?

Arsenal have been in world-class form this season and are currently leading the Premier League title race ahead of Manchester City by a relatively comfortable margin. There is still a long way to go though and Mikel Arteta’s team are believed to be keen to strengthen their squad in January in order to make sure that they do not slip up in the second half of the season.

Eden Hazard’s €115 million move to Real Madrid from Chelsea has proven to be a complete disaster. Could he prove to be a possible solution for the Blues’ London rivals though?

As reported by Media Foot Mercato (via Express), Arsenal will turn to Hazard if they fail to sign Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.

To be very honest, the transfer rumour comes as a big surprise. Not many would expect Arsenal to be interested in Hazard, considering how badly the Belgian has struggled in the Royal White jersey over the past three-and-a-half years.

Real Madrid shattered their transfer record to sign Hazard from Chelsea, but in hindsight, it has proven to be a mistake on their part.

Hazard is a Premier League legend though and was one of the best players in the world during his seven years in England with Chelsea. Thus, could there possibly still be an interest in seeing how he would do if back in the English top flight? Who knows? Let’s see what the future holds for the struggling Belgian.
