Real Madrid are facing a tough time when it comes to injuries. Both Aurelien Tchouameni and David Alaba are out for around three weeks with respective problems and could end up missing some key games coming up, including the Spanish Super Cup. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the end of their issues.

Real Madrid are set to face Valencia in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup and could be without another of their key players.

It looks like the participation of Ferland Mendy in the upcoming match against Valencia is now in doubt as well.

As reported by GOAL, Mendy has been the great absence of the training on Tuesday. The Frenchman suffers from an overload in a calf. This makes him a reasonable doubt for the upcoming match against Valencia, and also the final, if Real Madrid can make it.

Real Madrid suffer another injury blow after Tchouameni and Alaba

It is safe to say that the situation is far from ideal for Real Madrid, especially with Alaba also out. That means that they have no real option at left-back right now and it will be interesting to see who plays there, in case Mendy ends up missing against Valencia as well.

Los Blancos have not been in good form in recent times and so many injury problems at the same time is the last thing that they needed.

A lot of questions have been raised about Mendy’s form recently as well, especially after the defeat against Villarreal in the previous game.

The one positive that Real Madrid can take going into the Spanish Super Cup semi-final though is the fact that Valencia have been struggling for form lately as well, and have lost both their games, against Cadiz and Villarreal, in La Liga since the return from the World Cup break.
