Real Madrid have been linked with a number of players in recent times, as there are a number of positions in the current squad which could do with reinforcements. While signings are not expected to be made this January, the next summer transfer window could be a different story and it looks like Los Blancos are already keeping their eyes open for all possibilities.
One of the players that Real Madrid have been linked with in recent times is Fran Garcia of Rayo Vallecano.
Garcia actually came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid but failed to make his mark at the club. He left after making only one senior appearance. He has been very impressive at Rayo Vallecano though and now, it looks like Los Blancos might be interested in bringing him back. There is some bad news in that regard though.
Aston Villa recently announced the signing of Alex Moreno from Real Betis on the club’s official website.
Real Madrid handed bad news by Aston Villa’s signing of Moreno
Real Betis had been linked with a move for Garcia, if Moreno was to leave in January. Now that that has happened, it will be interesting to see if Manuel Pellegrini’s side end up making a move for the Rayo Vallecano left-back or not.
There is believed to be a €10 million release clause in Garcia’s current deal, and there might be a possibility that Real Betis end up triggering that in order to fill the void left behind by Moreno.
Real Madrid on the other hand, are not expected to make any additions this January and as a result, they could end up missing out on Garcia.
Let’s see how things turn out. Los Blancos have been linked with other left-backs in recent times as well, including another one of their former youth stars in Miguel Gutierrez, currently playing for Girona.
