Real Madrid and Barcelona are clearly the two best teams in Spain this season. They are competing for the La Liga title, with the Catalan giants having a three point lead at the top right now. On the other hand, both are set to take on each other in the final of the Spanish Super Cup as well.
Of course, it is not just on the pitch that the two teams are competing but off it as well. The club will be expected to try to sign some common targets in the transfer market in the future. And an Argentine wonderkid seems to be on both their radars right now.
As reported by MARCA, Real Madrid and Barcelona are now both keeping a close eye on Gianluca Prestianni. The 16-year-old has already made his senior level debut for Velez Sarsfield.
The winger has also represented Argentina at the under-17 level and is without doubt one of the most highly rated youngsters coming through the ranks right now for the reigning World Cup champions.
Real Madrid and Barcelona both want to sign Argentine wonderkid
Prestianni could be a big player in the future and thus, it is not hard to see why he is already drawing the interest of two of the biggest teams in the world.
It must be pointed out that Real Madrid have built up quite the reputation for signing wonderkids from South America and turning them into bona fide superstars in the Spanish capital. The likes of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde serve as prime examples.
Now, it remains to be seen if the club are able to sign Prestianni or not. Of course, Barcelona cannot be counted out of the race but one would hope that Real Madrid’s recent track record of developing youngsters will give them the edge.
