Real Madrid hero could join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the greatest player to ever don the Real Madrid shirt. His career has been on a downward trajectory since leaving the club for Juventus in 2018 though. His stint in Turin brought success for him individually and as a team, but ultimately, they could not win the UEFA Champions League, which was the big target, and even lost their near decade-long hold over the Serie A.
Ronaldo would end up leaving Juventus in 2021 in order to complete a blockbuster return to Manchester United. But it was not exactly the fairy tale that most fans would have been hoping for. Instead, the team took a step back following the arrival of the Portuguese superstar and his individual form started to dip as well.
Ronaldo’s second stint at Manchester United came to an abrupt end and now, he finds himself at Al-Nassr. The Portuguese legend’s decision to leave top level European football has been criticised by the fans and the media alike. But it looks like the Saudi Pro League club have their eyes on further big name signings.
As reported by MARCA, Al-Nassr are in negotiations to sign Keylor Navas following the injury of David Ospina.
Real Madrid hero could be set to join Ronaldo at Al-Nassr
Navas is currently at PSG but the goalkeeper has barely played this season and could potentially be looking for a change in scenery.
Navas was a huge part of the Real Madrid team that won three straight UEFA Champions League titles and it is hard not to feel that his contributions to that legendary side have often been overlooked.
Impressively, Real Madrid have done a wonderful job when it comes to replacing him, by bringing in another fantastic goalkeeper in the form of Thibaut Courtois. On the other hand, let’s see what the future holds for Navas and whether he ends up signing for Al-Nassr or not.
